Privacy Policy

At Autograf, we know that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly.  This notice describes our privacy policy.  By visiting Autograf, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What personal information about our customers does Autograf gather?
Information technology continues to present new and exciting opportunities.  However, many people are concerned about how their personal information will be used.  We recognize that our users may have concerns about their privacy and confidentiality whilst online.  We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of our users whilst using our web site.

Collection of information via web site activity
For statistical purposes we collect information on web site activity (such as the number of users who visit the web site, the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, navigation patterns, what country and systems users have used to access the site and, when entering our web site from another web site, the address of that web site through the use of “cookies”).  This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide us with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve our web site.

Cookies
A “cookie” is a packet of information that allows the server (the computer that houses the web site) to identify and interact more effectively with your computer.  When you use our web site, we send you a cookie that gives you a unique identification number.  This enables us to provide features such as automatic login and permanent shopping carts for storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.

You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is sent. Please refer to your browser instructions or help screens to learn more about these functions.  If you reject all cookies, you may not be able to use our web site.

Do we share your information with others?
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others.

What Information Can I Access?
In a future enhancement to our web site, Autograf will give you secure access to the information you have entrusted us with about you.  This is the same access we have to your information, for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information.

Security
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission over the internet.  Our financial transaction partners, such as PayPal and AuthorizeNet, are world leaders in best-of-internet security.

There are, of course, ways that we have of accessing our own web site, for the purpose of updating the site, including the ways that your purchases are handled.  We protect against unauthorized changes to our site that might compromise your access to our secure partners the old fashioned way; we do it all ourselves, our web site is hosted on a best-of-class hosting company’s hacker-safe systems, and we don’t use wireless routers between our web development computers in-house.  Maybe that makes us a little old fashioned... like old-fashioned ideas such as trust, good customer service, and not leaving things to chance.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer.  Be sure to sign off and close the web browser when you are finished using a shared computer.  (In fact, that’s a good practice when using your own computer!)

What choices do I have?
As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of such features as automatic login and permanent shopping carts.  Again, we might be somewhat old-fashioned, but we still know how to use the telephone.  Please feel free to call us with your orders!

Soon, you will be able to add or update certain information on your “my account” pages, and you will, of course, have the option to not keep an account (as it should be merely a convenience).  If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your account to reflect this.

With eyes to the future,
